Most of the episodes were historical parodies or detective spoofs.
The main performers were Kenneth Connor, Joan Sims, Barbara Windsor, Jack Douglas, Peter Butterworth and David Lodge.
Bernard Bresslaw, Sid James and Hattie Jacques appeared in a few programmes. Charles Hawtrey and Kenneth Williams were conspicuous by their absence.
