1: Communication Problems (19 Feb 79)
Mrs. Richards, a rather deaf guest, insists that she's had some money stolen. Basil is suspected, but how can he admit to Sybil that his new-found wealth was the result of a bet on the horses? And what on earth made him entrust his winnings to the Major?
2: The Psychiatrist (26 Feb 79)
A psychiatrist and his wife come to stay. Basil becomes paranoid, thinking that Sybil is talkng to them about him. Basil tries to prove that a young male guest has smuggled a woman into his room, while Sybil thinks that Basil is becoming too interested in a young Australian woman guest. As a result, the psychiatrist concludes that 'There's enough material here for an entire conference!'
3: Waldorf Salad (5 Mar 79)
An American guest asks for a Waldorf Salad after the kitchen has closed. Basil's attempts to deal with the order are far from satisfactory. Meanwhile, some of the other guests are revolting.
4: The Kipper And The Corpse (12 Mar 79)
A guest dies suddenly in the night but, not noticing that his guest is dead, Basil serves him breakfast in bed. When he realises his mistake, Basil jumps to the conclusion that the kipper he served for breakfast must have killed him. He tries to dispose of both the kipper and the corpse. Meanwhile, an obnoxious woman guest demands special treatment for her dog.
5: The Anniversary (26 Mar 79)
Sybil thinks that Basil has forgotten their wedding anniversary and flounces off to the golf course. Basil has, in fact, remembered for once and has planned a surprise anniversary party. When their friends arrive for the party, Basil doesn't want them to know that Sybil has gone, so he spends most of the evening trying to convince everyone that Sybil is ill in bed.
6: Basil The Rat (25 Oct 79)
Manuel has been sold a pet 'Siberian Hamster' which is, in fact, a rat. The public health inspector is due to visit, so Basil tells Manuel to get rid of his pet. Basil is far from pleased to learn that the rat has been named after him. He's even less pleased when the rat unexpectedly reappears in the hotel.
