Phil Parker (Jimmy Nail) used to be in a band back in the 1980s. Now his son Jack (Peter Losasso) is following in his father's footsteps.
The other members of the band are Eddie Soutakis (David Barseghian) and Granville Cunningham (Franz Drameh). Their schoolmate Adi Kundra (Michael Karim) also wants to be in the band but the boys have to decide whether or not the fact that he can provide rehearsal facilities outweighs his lack of talent.
The boys just want to enjoy themselves, but Phil takes the band much more seriously, as do the other parents.
