Exterior filming for this programme was done in a small village called Turville, in Buckinghamshire.
"St Barnabus Church" was actually the Church of St Mary The Virgin, Turville.
The exterior of the "vicarage" was filmed using two cottages in the village, which were made to look like a single building. Scenes inside the vicarage were all filmed in the BBC studios in London.
Turville was also the location for Goodnight Mr Tom, the ITV drama starring John Thaw.
