Chiselbury School "For The Sons Of Gentlefolk" is a third-rate public school run by "Professor" James Edwards (Jimmy Edwards). He spends much of his time getting drunk and scheming to extract as much money as possible from school funds, staff and pupils.
The programme formed the basis for a feature film (Bottoms Up!, 1959) and a BBC radio version (1961-63).
