One of Captain Peacock's old Army colleagues applies for a job in the Men's Ready-to-Wear department. Captain Peacock has to deal with a spot of blackmail.
2: Strong Stuff This Insurance (26 Oct 79)
The staff have to take an insurance medical. Mr. Humphries invites a friend, who's a ballet teacher, to help everyone to get fit.
3: The Apartment (2 Nov 79)
Mrs. Slocombe moves into a 'show flat' on the top floor of the store. She has plenty of visitors during her first evening 'in residence'.
4: Mrs. Slocombe, Senior Person (9 Nov 79)
Mrs. Slocombe has to stand in for Mr. Rumbold for a while. She doesn't find the job to her liking.
5: The Hero (16 Nov 79)
Captain Peacock has problems with a loudmouth from another department. A boxing match seems to be the only solution.
6: Anything You Can Do (23 Nov 79)
The staff complain about service in the canteen and end up having to run it themselves.
7: The Agent (30 Nov 79)
Mr. Goldberg sets up his own (unofficial) employment agency and tries to find new jobs for Mrs. Slocombe and Mr. Humphries.
