1: This Could Be The Start Of Something Big (8 Mar 92)
Alec and Zoe return from honeymoon to find that war has broken out in the office. Miss Flood is unhappy about the fact that her nephew has become engaged to Hilary. Simone announces that she's pregnant.

Alec arranges for his French sister-in-law's niece, Clothilde, to come and help Zoe with the housework. Jamie becomes very interested in the new au pair. Miss Flood is behaving very oddly - Hilary decides that she must be in love. Clothilde decides that Zoe doesn't really need her help and returns to France.

Hilary and Tony have broken off their engagement. Alec experiences a lot of discomfort when Zoe begins to work closely with a gay colleague. Zoe accuses Alec of being anti-gay. Miss Flood is nervous about meeting Gerald Tipple's grown-up daughters, so Hilary decides to help her out.
