When oil is discovered on land belonging to a left-wing council, Alan schemes to take control. He decides to promote a bill which will take voting rights away from members of the working class, so that the Conservatives can gain control of the oil-rich council.
2: Live From Westminster (22 Jan 89)
Television cameras are being allowed to film proceedings in the House Of Commons. Alan sees this as an opportunity for him to enhance his standing in the country.
3: A Wapping Conspiracy (29 Jan 89)
Alan becomes patron of the "Young Ladies' Recreational Association". Then the press find out that it's just an excuse for him to get his hands on young nubile girls.
4: The Haltemprice Bunker (5 Feb 89)
Alan becomes involved in the hunt for a Nazi war criminal. Most people want to bring him to justice. Alan, on the other hand, wants to send him on a lecture tour.
5: California Here I Come (12 Feb 89)
Alan takes a trip to Hollywood and gets involved with a young starlet.
6: May The Best Man Win (19 Feb 89)
Piers is planning to get married. His fiancee doesn't approve of the way Alan manipulates Piers, so Alan decides that the marriage can't be allowed to go ahead.
7: Piers Of The Realm (26 Feb 89)
Alan decides to pay one of his rare visits to his constituency, but only because he has a horse running at a nearby race course.
One of the many enemies Alan has made in recent years decides to get even. Alan ends up getting shot.
